SignageNow in action at BIM 2026: Digital visitor information at Wadersloh Secondary School

The 2026 Career Information Fair (BIM) in eastern Münsterland once again served as an important gathering place for students and companies from the region. This year, the fair took place at Wadersloh Secondary School and brought together a total of 108 companies, which presented their apprenticeship and career opportunities.

We at fleiter media were also there as exhibitors. At the same time, our digital signage software SignageNow was used at several locations throughout the fair—both directly at our booth and on existing screens throughout the school.

In this article, we’ll show you how our GDPR-compliant digital signage software can be used at events to inform visitors, present content, and give exhibition booths a more modern look.

Trade Show Booth Marketing: Presenting Apprenticeship Opportunities Digitally

At our own trade show booth, we used SignageNow to digitally showcase our company and our apprenticeship programs. The goal was to quickly capture the attention of young visitors and present information in an engaging way.

To do this, we connected a standard TV to our Infoscreen software and used it as a digital information display. A playlist automatically rotated through several different pieces of content:

Company Overview – Who is fleiter media and what services do we offer?
Apprenticeships – Information on current apprenticeship openings
Instagram Contest – Presentation using the social media template
Insights into Daily Work Life – Images and brief highlights from projects

Thanks to dynamic content and changing information, the screen generated significantly more attention than traditional roll-ups or posters. Especially at training fairs, the SignageNow digital signage software offers flexible use, allowing content to be adapted on the fly.

Centralized Visitor Guidance & Event Information at Wadersloh Secondary School

The second, even more extensive application of SignageNow involved the overall organization of BIM 2026. Wadersloh Secondary School used our cloud-based software to efficiently guide and inform visitors in the hallways and common areas.

Several existing TVs in the school were used for this purpose. These were managed by the “iServ” information system. Since SignageNow is browser-based and doesn’t require expensive specialized hardware, the screens could be connected quickly and easily alongside the iServ output software. Since the school system also allows for output via the browser, all we had to do was open a new tab in the browser (CTRL + T). Then we simply entered the playlist URL in the address bar, and that was it.

A shared, dynamic playlist ran across all central screens, which we created using our SignageNow Screen Apps (templates). Visitors received the following important information:

Digital floor plan: Essential with 108 exhibitors—where can I find which company?
Weather app: Current forecast for Wadersloh.
QR code to the website: A scan took visitors directly to the official BIM 2026 website for in-depth information.
Time: Always know what time it is.
Countdown timer: A dynamic display showing how much longer the trade show would be open that day.
